I've attached an excel spreadsheet categorizing the various ideas we came up with at our meeting this week. Feel free to expand on any of them!

If we have our four areas of Tap as knowledge, resources, opportunities, budget we can transfer that to the 4 P's.
Tap into budget = Price
Tap into resources = Promotion
Tap into opportunities = Place
Tap into knowledge = Product
Of course they can be interchangeable in how we use them...

Theme: "Tapping Into The New Normal"
The program states:
"“The new normal,” a term being bandied about by business and marketing
experts, reflects the fundamental shift our economy has gone through
recently. It speaks to the new reality marketers face—tighter budgets, a
more cautious public and a demand for concrete results.
But the new normal also means opportunity. BluePoint Venture Marketing
points out that though marketing dollars may be tight well into 2010, “the
smart and the savvy will flourish during these tough times.”"
Exhibit Rules
We want to make sure we heavily promote the theme of the conference and tie in marketing education every chance we can.
As of right now our game revolves around beer pong. Two teams of 2 with 3 cups each. Blue/Green cups with the RIC Recycling logo on them. Objective is to clear the cups. Shoot the ball, get it in, then answer a question. Get question right and cup is removed, and you receive candy from cup.
We may have to put a 3 minute time limit on this. We may not want to add a second round where the winning team is pitted against each other. Questions will involve basic marketing, and going green related.
We will decorate our booth/tent with many factoid sheets that allow people to quiz themselves.
A wall made of sewn up RIC shirts.
Posterboards with RIC acronyms into recycling phrases. People get candy for forming own sentences. Maybe have blank posterboard where every school can use their own school's letters.

Ok I thought of a way to really take the potential time out of these games.
Each team starts with 6 cups.
Each team starts with 6 balls.
Each team starts off with 6 points.
Each team takes their turn shooting until all balls have been thrown.
Team A loses as many points as opponent balls gotten in.
For example, if Team B got 4 balls in, then Team A loses 4 points form their 6 and are now at 2. Team A must now answer 4 questions in order to gain their points back. Whoever has the most points at the end wins. If there is a tie, we just ask one bonus questions and first to answer and get it right wins.
This relates to marketing and business because your competition is always taking shots at you. The more your competitor succeeds in sinking their shots, the more you must do to recover.
